A Note from the Boss Congratulations you are now part of a winning team. The company has decided to expand their network to add more client machines, printers, as well as include a new router so that user's will have internet access. Now that you have successfully installed and configured Server 2008 your ready to configure the DHCP Server role and implement these changes. Get to WORK! Task at hand: Install the DHCP Server Role, install and configure DHCP Server Core, create a network addressing scheme, create an exclusion range or reservations, ensure clients receive dynamic DHCP addressing. *Document all configuration Information*
· Objective 1: Add the DHCP Server Role on the Server Machine. · Objective 2: Your Server has been assigned the static address of 196.42.1.1, your clients and printers will share the same 196.42.1.0 network as your servers. You will need to configure DHCP to dynamically assign your clients IPv4 addresses. You will need to create either an exclusion range or reservations to complete this objective. · Objective 3: Configure the 196.42.2.0 network will be used for Mobile Users. · Objective 4: You need to plan for future server implementation through DHCP. · Objective 5: The 196.42.3.0 will be held for future use and expansion. · Objective 6: Add the DHCP Server Role on the Server Core Machine
